The holidays are upon us, and with that comes inevitable feelings of stress, particularly for women.
The pressure to manage holiday preparations alongside daily responsibilities creates a perfect storm of stress. Indeed, a 2024 Yorkville University’s Department of Behavioural Sciences survey revealed that December is identified as the most stressful month by nearly half of Canadians. Studies also report that women are 40 per cent more likely than men to experience heightened stress during the holiday.
By understanding these pressures and implementing supportive measures, Canadians can work towards a more balanced and enjoyable holiday season.
