Celebrating International Women's Day 2025

Written by TELUS Health | March 7, 2025

At TELUS Health, we’re proud to honour International Women’s Day. Today, and everyday, our brilliant female team members from around the globe help us deliver remarkable health experiences for the benefit of all customers and individuals we serve around the world.

This International Women’s Day, take the opportunity to meet some of the incredible women behind TELUS Health, and learn how their work contributes to building the healthiest communities and workplaces on the planet.

Julie Cressey, Director, TELUS Health

Julie is responsible for leading TELUS Health in New Zealand, overseeing the customer and clinical operations team to ensure the smooth running of the business. In her role, she focuses on providing high-quality support for customers and the wellbeing of team members.

“Our work impacts the health and wellbeing of women on multiple levels. From providing working women with support to manage work-life balance, navigating parental challenges, or support through our menopause support programme, I believe our work significantly enhances the wellbeing of women both within and outside of the workplace."

Meqele Bleasdille, Strategy & Engagement Consultant, Customer Success, TELUS Health

Meqele is based in London, England, and in her role, she helps clients elevate their wellbeing strategies and ultimately boost engagement in EAP (Employee Assistance Programs) and wellbeing services.

“There are often expectations of women to be able to ‘do it all’ and to keep calm and carry on, even at the expense of their mental or physical health. I work with organisations to create strategies and messaging that speak to every woman, no matter her circumstances and stage of life, in a way that empowers and encourages her to prioritise her wellbeing, and importantly use her wellbeing benefits.”

Jo Newman, Director, Wellbeing and Clinical Content, TELUS Health

Jo is based in London, England, and in her role, she leads a team who creates and manages content for a range of TELUS Health platforms and products. Jo and her team produce articles, videos and podcasts that support our TELUS Health clients with their mental health and wellbeing, at home and in the workplace.

“I’m on a bit of a mission when it comes to women’s health and my work is the ideal platform for my passion. In particular, I am able to raise awareness around menopause, to help women of a certain age (like me) to recognise what they are going through and encourage them to reach out for help.”

Patricia van Casteren, Director of Clinical Innovation, TELUS Health

Patricia is an occupational health psychologist, and the Director of Clinical Innovation for TELUS Health in the Netherlands. In her role as a clinical expert, she advises colleagues on client cases and helps ensure the quality of our psychological services. Patricia also collaborates with occupational health researchers, develops new training programs, and leads workplace wellness training sessions for clients in the Netherlands.

“I counsel clients, supervise colleagues, conduct research and design new products. One day I'm designing a program for female entrepreneurs to help them become more confident and achieve a healthy work-life balance. The next day, I could be helping a client to build a healthier and more productive workplace."

Nadine Sinnen, Clinic Manager, TELUS Health Care Centres

Nadine is based in Vancouver, Canada, and she manages clinic operations at a Care Centre. In her role, she manages clinical teams who are focused on delivering personalized care.

“I am blessed to be able to manage clinical teams that support our Family Centered Maternity program, caring for women during pregnancy through to postnatal care, as well as our women’s health program that provides nutrition and exercise education to peri and post-menopausal women. We also screen for cancer risk, such as breast cancer. These tools and programs have a strong positive impact on the health and wellbeing of women.”

Elise Dallain, Vice President of Growth and Strategic Relations, TELUS Health, Retirement and Benefits Solutions

Elise is based in Canada, and she oversees key pension and administration programs to ensure exceptional service to meet clients’ needs and objectives.

This understanding can have a profound impact on their overall wellbeing and life decisions.”

Elisa Backler, Senior Consultant, TELUS Health, Retirement and Benefits Solutions
